Thomas Jay Manwaring

Thomas Jay Manwaring, 69 yrs of Ida, MI, died Friday July 4, 2025, in his residence under the care of Elara caring. Friends may gather at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Wednesday July 9, 2025, from 2-7PM. He will lie-in-state on Thursday July 10, 2025, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Ida, MI, from 10AM until the services at 11AM.

Born October 2, 1955, in Toledo, OH. Thomas was the son of Karl and Illah (Knapp) Manwaring. He was a 1974 Ida High School Graduate. Thomas was a truck driver for Don Stotz and Paul Maddux for 29 yrs.  He was a member of T.H.A.N.K.S. and the Ottawa Lake Sportsman Club. He was a life-long member and helped everywhere at the Monroe County Fair for over 40 yrs. Thomas loved spending time with people and was always having a good time. He enjoyed life and loved “front porch sitting”.

Survivors include: his sibling, Donald (Patty) Manwaring, Earl (Angela) Manwaring, Larry (Francis) Manwaring, Judy Blakeman, Linda Coulter and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Barb McKeever, Aaron Coulter, a niece, Theresa Coulter and nephew Wayne Coulter.
