Richard Allen Parker

December 30, 1952 - July 22, 2025

Richard Allen Parker, 72 yrs of Trenton, MI, was peacefully healed into eternal life on Tuesday July 22, 2025, with loved ones by his side. Visitation will be at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Thursday July 31, 2025, from 4-7PM. He will lie-in-state on Friday August 1, 2025, from 10AM until the services at 11AM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI. Pastor David Vinciguerra will officiate.  The burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park, Toledo, OH.

 

Born December 30, 1952, in Toledo, OH, Rick was the son of Dale and Esther (Gable) Parker. He was a 1971 Summerfield High School graduate. He attended Eastern Michigan University. Rick worked for Champion Spark Plug for 20 yrs. He married Nancy Carr at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI. Nancy died in February 2013. Rick spent his last decade with his love, Florence DeWitt. Florence’s family loved Rick and claimed him as their own.  Rick was an avid bowler and had many long-time friends.  He even bowled several 300 games and proudly wore the rings… some even bore rubies which was fitting as his favorite team was the Ohio State Buckeyes. Rick loved to travel, sing karaoke, and bake, and was known for his chocolate chip cookies.

 

Survivors include: his love, Florence, siblings, David Parker and Mary Miller, sisters -in-law, Patricia Parker, Janice (Robert) Lorimer, and Penny Carr, and brother-in-law Greg Carr.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.  Rick was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dale R. Parker, brother-in-law, Randall Carr and nephew, Kevin Carr.
