Nancy Lou (Rattray) Hoffman, 86 years old of Adrian formally of Deerfield Michigan died Friday, May 23, 2025, in Hampton Manor of Adrian, Adrian, Michigan under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Michigan, Friday, May 30, 2025, from 10 AM until service at 12 PM pastor Mark McCaskill of Cornerstone Baptist Church will officiate. A private burial of cremation will take place at Deerfield cemetery at a later date.
Born January 28, 1939, in Milan, Michigan Nancy was the daughter of Russell and Luva (Leonard) Rattray. She attended Milan High School. She married Dale Hoffman on April 26, 1975, in Deerfield, Michigan. She worked for the Petersburg post office for 21 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Milan Moose Lodge and helped at the soup kitchen, handing out daily bread with her Aunt Ruth. Nancy loved to travel, especially to Texas to see family. If she wasn’t shopping on QVC, she was getting her hair and nails done to go dancing. Get togethers at the Hoffman Highway family pond was always fun and hold fond memories. She was always laughing and liked having a good time.
Nancy was lucky to have two great loves in her life Dale Hoffman and Sonny Eyler, who both precede her in death. Survivors include her sons, Mike (Pam) Yoder, Doug (Tina) Yoder, Garry (Brenda) Yoder, Ron Yoder, David (Kelley) Yoder, Scott (Ann Marie) Yoder. Stepchildren, Daniel Hoffman, Darcie Binkley, Brian, Dean, Vicky and Chris Eyler, daughter-in-law Debbe Yoder, sister Bonnie Clemens. 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and her longtime best friend Teresa Collins. She is proceeded in death by her parents, sister Patricia Ammerman, brother Richard Rattray, nephew Russ Akans and stepchildren Greg “Bub” Hoffman and Suzanne Hoffman.
