Michael Dale Gorsich

Michael Dale Gorsich, 66 yrs of Ida, died in his residence, Wednesday May 28, 2025. Friends may gather at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 10AM until the services at 12PM. Pastor Mark McCaskill will officiate. The burial will be in Lulu Cemetery, Ida, MI.

Born August 5, 1958, in Litchfield, IL. Michael was the son of Gerald and Barbara (Rull) Gorsich. He was a 1976 Mt. Olive High School Graduate. He later attended nuclear reactor operator school. He Served honorably with the US Navy as a submariner from 1979-1988. Michael married Julia “Sue” Mehochko on August 4, 1984, in Gillespie, IL. Mike was an IT Software Developer for DTE Energy for 29 yrs, retiring in 2018. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, VFW Post 6509 Petersburg and loved being on the worship team, singing, restoring cars, traveling and all things computers.

Survivors include: his wife Sue; children, David (Leiah), Simon (Justine), Samuel, Dante, Gigi (Ian) Wood, Olivia; stepson, Jeff (Elizabeth) Wagahoff; parents, Gearld Gorsich and Barbara (Manny) Varela; sister, Rhonda George; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
