Janet Lee Adams (Grill)

June 22, 1953 - January 11, 2025

Janet Lee Adams (Grill), 71 years of Ida, MI, passed away on Saturday January 11, 2025, in Toledo Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born June 22, 1953, in Toledo, OH, Janet was the daughter of Louis and Grace (Holden) Grill. She was a 1971 graduate of Whitmer High School. On October 18, 1974, She married the love of her life Jerry Adams, in Toledo, OH and in 2024, they celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage together. They enjoyed traveling and attending any event that included their grandchildren. 

 

Janet devoted her entire life to her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She created a home filled with love and laughter, and was the glue that bonded them all.  Janet’s grandchildren were her world.  The grandchildren said “a hug from grandma fixed everything.”  She spent countless hours talking, loving, and caring for each one, something they will always cherish. Janet had a gift of making each one feel special and loved.  Janet’s great joy was creating custom cupcake cakes and cookie cakes for each grandchild’s birthday, in which grandpa helped decorate.  She loved to lie on the floor and color with her grandkids, a special memory they all share.  Janet was a kind and beautiful soul, a friend to all she encountered.    

 

She is survived by her loving husband Jerry; mother, Grace; children, Julie (Andy) Spoering, Jodi Cooley-Adams, J. (Brittanie) Adams; sisters, Jean (Donald) Snell, Cindy (Daryl) Andrews; her grandchildren, Andrew (Hailey), Averie, Ryan, Hailey, Ali, Madi and great-grandchild, Aubrey.

 

She was preceded in death by her father Louis and nephew/Godson, Mike Andrews.

 

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Thursday January 16, 2025, from 2-8PM. She will lie in state at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Friday January 17, 2025, from 10AM until the services at 11AM. Bob Bruhn and Bill Orth will co-celebrate Janet. The burial will take place at Lulu Cemetery, Ida, MI.
