Cynthia Jane Trudeau (Rockey) of Ida, MI, passed away peacefully at Hampton Manor of Lambertville, MI on Monday, April 21, 2025, under the care of Caroline Hospice surrounded by family, at 80 years old. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Tuesday April 29, 2025, from 2PM until the service at 6:30PM. Pastor Jon Komperda of Point Place United Church of Christ will officiate. Cremation will occur after.
Born May 31, 1944, in Lima, OH. Cynthia was the daughter of Judge Paul and Arloene (Smith) Rockey. She was a 1962 Lima High School Graduate who later earned her Associates from Ohio State University. Cynthia married Clifford Trudeau on June 14, 1975, in Point Place, OH. She worked for KPMG as an accounting manager for 30 years, retiring in 2005. Upon retiring Cindy pursued her love for music by joining the Sweet Adelines and was able to compete in various states. She was also an active member of her choir at United Church of Christ in Point Place Ohio as well as in Punta Gorda Florida. Cindy and her husband Clif were snowbirds for 12 years, where they spent their winters in North Fort Myers Florida. Cindy was also an active member of the D.O.V.E. (Developments of Vietnam Endeavor) where she was the treasurer for many years. While in Florida she enjoyed sitting down at the turtle pond where she would feed them for hours. Cindy was always staying active, when back in Michigan she was always surrounded by friends and family where most called her Mimi. Her smile was contagious, and her heart was so full of love.
Survivors include: her husband Clifford; daughters, Kim Marshall, Renee (Scott) Pledge, Jacqui (Jeff) Compora, Jennifer (Mike) Bono, Jill (Scott) Scroggie, Nikki (Clark) Blackford, Rochelle (Charles) Weisbecker; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Rockey.
