Christopher Darren Gibson

Christopher Darren Gibson, 62 years of Adrian, MI, formerly of Petersburg, MI, died in his home, Monday September 22, 2025. Friends may visit Capaul Funeral Home on Tuesday September 30, 2025, from 2-8PM. He will lie-in-state on Wednesday October 1, 2025, at Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, from 10AM until the services at 11AM. Pastor David Voss will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.

Born January 4, 1963, in Tecumseh, MI. Christopher was the son of Sylvester and Florene (Lockhart) Gibson. He attended Summerfield High School. He married Michelle Yetter after spending 14 years together. Within that time they raised their 3 sons, Jay, Dann, and Ryan. They later divorced. Christopher was a crane operator for Highway Services for 15 years and previously worked at a tree service and Holiday Vans making custom interiors. He was a member of the Laborers Union out of Flat Rock. He loved playing horseshoes, watching sports, cards especially “Buck Euchre”, board games, puzzles and hanging out with friends and family.

Survivors include: his sons, Ryan (Katie Lippert) Gibson, Dann (Megan Gray) Swanson, Jay (Leah) Swanson; siblings, Clayton Gibson, Kathie Gibson; ex-wife, Michelle; grandchildren, McKinzie, Vann, Jalie, Brayden, Piper, Brielle and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Benny, Denzil, Kevin and nephews, Denny Lee and Nicky Joel Bashaw.
