Melvin Alfred Hinkelman 85 yrs, of Monroe, MI, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in Fountain View of Monroe, MI. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, all services are private.

Born February 21, 1935, in Ida, MI. Melvin was the son of Alfred and Louise (Hinkelman) Ness. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he sexton with his brother at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, he loved playing dart ball, cutting wood, and was a 'Simple Man".

Survivors include cousins Nancy Henning, Paulette Fouts, Paul Borgert, Sandra Fouts, David Borgert, and Barbara Rowand. He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister.
