Stephen Allen Frank

Stephen Allen Frank, 68 yrs. of Petersburg, Mi, died in his residence Friday July 5, 2024. Cremation has occurred. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday August 3, 2024, from 10AM until the services at 11AM at West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ida, MI. Pastor Denise Benjamin will officiate. Burial of cremains will occur after at Maplewood Cemetery, Ida, MI.

Born April 7, 1956, in Toledo, OH. Stephen was the son of Wilmond and Dorothy (Crampton) Frank. He was a 1974 Ida High School Graduate. He later earned certification in Milling at numerous places including Switzerland. He was a miller working for Miller Milling Company for over 35 yrs. at plants in Texas, Ohio, and Virginia, retiring in December 2014. He first worked for Amedt Milling, in Monroe after high school and it is there where he began a life-long career in the grain & flour mill industry. It is very likely you have used a product made with the flour produced at one of the facilities. Ever use Jiffy Mix, Martha White or Nabisco? Steve was a member of the Association of Operative Millers. He was baptized and confirmed at West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ida, MI. He was a life member of Pheasants Forever and loved hunting & fishing. Steve enjoyed cooking shows, watching college sports, especially college basketball and football. In good weather he liked to sit outside and watch the deer, turkeys and rabbits that came around the farm. He liked raising chickens. He took time to plant a garden each summer with the help of his nephew Jonathan. He often gave away many of the vegetables that he grew.

Survivors include siblings, Michael (Cathy) Frank, Merri Frank, Rev Emily Frank, Caroline (James) Harris, David (Heather) Frank, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his faithful golden lab, Dusty.
