Ruth Helen Kelemen (Vallade)

Ruth Helen Kelemen (Vallade), 79 yrs. of Petersburg, MI, died Thursday June 6, 2024, in Villa at Parkridge, Ypsilanti, MI, under the care of Residential Hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Tuesday June 11, 2024, from 2-8PM with Rosary at 7PM. She will lie-in-state on Wednesday June 12, 2024, from 10AM until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11AM at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI. Rev. Dr. Michael Woroniewicz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ida, MI.

Ruth was the daughter of Howard and Ruth (Bomia) Vallade. Ruth was the oldest of 9 children. She was a 1963 Monroe High School Graduate. She married Kelemen ‘Kelly” Kelemen Jr. on September 24, 1966, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI. Ruth was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and helped with funeral luncheons and church festivals. She loved to garden and had a green thumb. She also loved to cook, sew and spend time with grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband, Kelly; children, George Kelemen, Kris (Jon) Straub, Lori Kelemen; sisters, Joann (Terry) Hall, Deborah Hill, Diana (Paul) ValladeSchepers; grandchildren, Devin McCoy, Garrett and Shelby Kelemen, Jacob and Nicholas Straub and great-grandchildren, Jett McCoy, and Delilah Kelemen. She was preceded in death by her grandparent, Arnold & Helen (Drewior) Bomia and Cyril & Josephine Vallade, parents, siblings, Howard Vallade, and Robert (Freda) Vallade, Anna Hodges, Kathryn (Phil) Hyden, Patricia Vallade, and a son, Kelemen Kelemen III.
