Karen Louise Smith (Preston)

Karen Louise Smith (Preston), 62 years of Milan, MI, died Thursday March 21, 2024, in St. Joseph Hospital, Ypsilanti. There will be a memorial gathering at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Friday, March 29, 2024, from 10AM until the Memorial Service at 12PM. Pastor Rev. Kenneth Huner of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI, will officiate. Cremation has occurred.

Born March 6, 1962, in Mason, MI. Karen was the daughter of Thomas Preston and Jeanne (Beach). She was a 1980 Milan High School Graduate. Karen worked for NSK Corporation for almost 39 years, as a Senior Inventory Analyst. She loved to play on her phone, Nintendo Switch with grandkids, read and spend time especially with her grandchildren.

Survivors include children, Ralph Dylan Smith, Melissa (David) Boboltz, Kirsti (Lance) Hosler, Josie Smith; dad, Thomas Preston; stepmom, Linda Preston; Siblings, Thomas Preston II, Sue Zilke, Jayne (David) Ayers and grandchildren, Madison and Tanner Hosler, Brett, and Jensen Boboltz. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne Heffington.
