Julian Vogelgesang

Julian Vogelgesang, 78 yrs of Ida, MI. Died Monday September 16, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Friends may gather at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Friday September 20, 2024, from 2PM until the services at 7PM. Tony Urbina of TheChurch, Maumee will officiate. The burial will be Saturday September 21, 2024, at 11AM at Lulu Cemetery, Ida, MI.

Born April 28, 1946, in Poland. Julian was the son of John and Kristina (Preweda) Vogelgesang. He was a self-employed carpenter, retiring in 2016. He married Barbara Nowak on October 25, 1969, in Toledo, OH. Julian loved canning pickles, building, mushroom hunting, gardening, camping, riding tractors, chopping wood and being an outdoorsman.

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara; daughters, Heide (Todd Steele) Anteau, Christine (Scott) Roe, Holly (Tony) Urbina; sisters, Helen (Olek) Gorniak, Janina Rozner; grandchildren, Renee (George), Christopher (Melanie), Jeremiah, Justin, Joshua, Julian, Benjamin, Samuel, Cecilia, Solomon and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Bolek Vogelgesang and Adela Bundyra.
