Giles Robert Brockman

Giles Robert Brockman – 75 years of Petersburg, MI – died Sunday March 24, 2024, at his residence.  Cremation has occurred.  Family and friends may visit Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 10am until the Memorial Service commences at 12pm.  Pastor Mark McCaskill will officiate.  The burial of Giles’s cremains will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery (Dundee, MI) at a later date.

Born on November 29, 1948 – in Ann Arbor, MI – Giles was the son of Giles and Dorothey (Peters) Brockman.  He was a 1967 Dundee High School graduate.  Giles married Karen Maschino on September 19, 1980, at Petersburg Presbyterian Church.  Karen passed away on February 20, 2015.  After graduating, Giles spent 22 years working as a Crew Leader for the Monroe County Parks and Recreations Department, retiring in 2009.  When he wasn’t working, Giles enjoyed hunting deer and squirrels, fishing, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Survivors include his stepson Greg Spaulding, his stepdaughters Pamela (Edward) Brososky and Terri (Nick) Ciacelli, his brother Gary Brockman, his niece Karen Ann Scholl, and step grandchildren Kay Brososky, Amber Miller, Jody (Janes) Willison, and Jason Ciacelli.  Giles is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
