Gerald L Newcombe

Gerald L Newcombe, 74 years of Ida, died at his residence at Hampton Manor on April 22, 2024. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI.  which will be officiated by Pastor Kelly-Marie Zawodni from the Ida United Methodist Church.  He will be buried in the East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery next to his brother, Darrell.

Gerald (known as Jerry) was born November 30, 1949, in Monroe, to Raymond E. and Veva F (Doty) Newcombe. Jerry was a member of the Ida United Methodist Church.  He was a 1967 graduate of Ida High School and was a member of Future Farmers of America (FFA).  He worked for Dundee Products in Dundee, MI for        43 years and retired in 2011.  He lived in Ida for most of his life and lived the past few years at Hampton Manor in Dundee. He is survived by many cousins and aunts, Ione (Doty) Parker, Janet (Doty) Black, and Al Black, uncle.  He was preceded in death by his father, his sister, Carol Ann, his brother, and his mother. A huge thank you to caregivers at Hampton Manor and Compassionate Hospice.
