George Theodore Rathke

George Theodore Rathke – 75 years of Toledo, OH – died on Saturday September 7, 2024, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital (Toledo, OH).  Cremation has occurred.

Born on January 22, 1949 – in Monroe, MI – George was the son of Theodore and Verna (Morningstar) Rathke.  He was a 1967 Dundee High School graduate.  After high school, George attended one year at Monroe County Community College (Monroe, MI).  He served two years in the United States Army and was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.  George was also a member of the Teamsters.  He married Marilyn Kolakowski on June 21, 1986, in Ida, MI.  When he wasn’t working, George enjoyed motorcycles, NASCAR, WWE wrestling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn, his stepson Jesse Easter, his stepdaughter Carisa (Jeremy) Omey, his sister Janice (Gary) Balcom, and nephews Brian and Jason (Jennifer) Connor, and niece Michelle Connor.  George was preceded in death by his parents.
