Donn Elmer Wobser

Donn Elmer Wobser, 83 yrs. of Ida, died Sunday March 10, 2024, in Toledo Hospital. There will be a memorial gathering on Sunday March 17, 2024, from 1PM until the memorial service at 2PM at Lambertville United Methodist Church, Lambertville, MI. Pastor Bryan Kilpatrick. Cremation has occurred.

Born January 1, 1941, in Monroe, MI. Donn was the son of John and Myrtie (Nieman) Wobser. He was a 1958 Ida high School Graduate and later attended Michigan State University and Cleary College to earn his accounting certificate. He married Brenda Monaghan on September 5, 1964, in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, MI.  Donn was a lifelong farmer and an accountant working for various companies including DR Trailer, ARCA and Banas Lumber, later retiring in 2023 from Cabela’s, MI. He was a member of Lambertville United Methodist Church, the Maybee Sportsman Club, The Boy Scouts (Scout Master), and taught Sunday School, Hunter’s Safety and Concealed Carrying Classes. He loved to hunt and camp.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda; sons, John, Donn (Amy), Ron (Dawn) Wobser and grandchildren, Drew (Rena), Madison, Autumn, Scott, and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shirley Hammond.
