Betsy Caroline Jarrell

Betsy Caroline Jarrell – 61 years of Blissfield, MI – passed away on Saturday August 31, 2024, at Hospice of Lenawee (Adrian, MI). 

Born on June 10, 1963 – in Garden City, MI – Betsy was the daughter of Paul Sr. and Eleanor (Pridemore) Jarrell.  She was a 1981 Summerfield High School Graduate.  Betsy was a caregiver for 25 years, including taking care of her son Austin.  She was a social butterfly and loved spending quality time with family and friends, and neighbors.  Betsy had a knack for knowing everyone.  She was a member of the recovery community, including Alcoholics Anonymous and just celebrated over 4 years of sobriety.

Survivors include her mother Eleanor Jarrell, her son Austin Buck, her daughter Amber (Joshua) Stacey, her sister Patricia Adams, and her grandson Asher Starkey.  Betsy was preceded in death by her father Paul Jarrell Sr., her brother Paul Jarrell Jr., and her childhood best friend Carol Dombrosky.

Join us in celebrating Betsy’s life on Saturday September 21st, 2024 at VFW Post 6509 in Petersburg at 12:00pm. The Eulogy will be given at 12:30pm with food and fellowship following until 4:00pm. 

In leu of flowers, we are raising funds to establish a trust for Austin following the heartbreaking loss of his mother. This support will ensure he has the resources and care he needs for the future. Any contribution is deeply appreciated. Contributions can be given at the Celebration of Life. The family gives thanks for the love and prayers during this time.
