Barney Allen Bunce

Barney Allen Bunce, 70 years of Petersburg, MI, died Wednesday July 3, 2024, in St. Joseph Hospital, Ypsilanti. Cremation has occurred. A private burial of cremains will take place at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI.

Born October 14, 1953, in Toledo, OH. Barney was the son of William Sr. and Beatrice (Guggenbihler) Bunce. He was a 1972 Summerfield High School Graduate. He married Paula Kundrat in 1983 in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI. Paula died February 14, 2018. Barney worked at The Ford Motor Company. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI. Barney loved classic cars restoring and owning 1950s Chevys, going to car shows, building car models and spending time with grandson, Jay.

Survivors include children, Tara Kundrat, Brent Kundrat; sister, Betty Chlebek; sisters-in-laws, Juanita Bunce and Peggy Bunce. His only grandson, Jay Guilliam II; great-grandchildren, Kenndey and Sawyer Guilliam as well as many nieces and nephews, Bill Bunce, Joni Bunce, Jeff Chlebek, LeAnn Chlebek and several other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Paula, brothers, William Bunce jr. and Robert Bunce and a niece Jill Bunce.
