Kay Laurene Lewis (Stamman)

Kay Laurene Lewis (Stamman), 68 yrs of Gladwin, MI, died Friday May 15, 2026 in her cousins’ residence under the care of Accent Care Hospice. Friends may gather at prince of Peace Lutheran church, Ida, MI, Friday June 12, 2026, from 10 AM until the services at 11 AM. Pastor Aaron Werner will officiate. Cremation has occurred.

Born June 12, 1957, in Gladwin, MI, Kay was the daughter of Roy and Laurene (Cook) Stamman. She graduated from Gladwin High School in 1975 and later earned her bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley University in Sociology. She was previously married to Jeffrey Lewis on September 29, 1989, in Muskegon Michigan. They later got divorced. She was a previous member of the Assembly of God in Gladwin later being a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida. Kay loved red roses, playing the piano, helping people and was a published poet.

Survivors include: her daughter, Jennifer Lewis; caregiver and cousin, Brenda (Narciso) Guzman Jr; brothers, Kent, Karl (Cindy), Kurt (Angie) Stamman and her ex-husband, Jeffrey Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents.
