Karl LaMont Wehner

Karl LaMont Wehner, 90 yrs of Ida, died Sunday September 20, 2026, surrounded by his family in his home under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Private services have taken place with a burial at Erie Union Cemetery.

Born February 21, 1936, in Samaria, MI. Karl was the son of John Francis and Beulah Francis (LaMont) Wehner. He was a 1954 Bedford High school Graduate. He married Lois Ann Kinney on March 16, 1957, in Temperance, MI. Lois died December 29, 2018. Karl owned and operated Wehner Construction for 69 yrs. Karl was a past member of First Baptist Church, Temperance and loved hunting, fishing, woodworking furniture and trinkets for family and spending time with family especially at the family cabin.

Survivors include; his children, Linda (Philip) Cousino, Pam (Rodney) Oberski, David (Janet) Wehner, Stephen Wehner, Tawnya (Dennis) Shaffer; brother, Leo “Pete” (Carol) Wehner; grandchildren, Lindsay, Luke, Adam, Jacob, Matthew, Joshua, Rachel, Daniel, Erika, Carissa, Tyler, Kyle, Zachary, Justin, Jordyn and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lois and a grandson, Mark.
