Karen Sue Seger (Parker)

Karen Sue Seger (Parker), 81 yrs of Monroe, died in her residence under the care of Hospice of Northwest, Ohio, Sunday August 9, 2026. Friends may visit the Capaul Funeral Home on Monday August 17, 2026, from 2-8PM. A gathering will take place at Union Street Missionary Baptist Church, Tuesday August 18, 2026, from 10AM until the service at 11AM.  Luncheon to follow.

Born July 3, 1945, in Monroe, MI. Karen was the daughter of Jack and Elaine (Manore) Parker. She was a 1963 Ida High School Graduate. Later earning her LPN from Mercy Nursing. She was previously married to Tom Saam Sr. She later married her honeybunch, Joseph Seger on July 7, 1978, in Lucas County, Ohio. Joseph died October 26, 2020. Karen was a salesclerk for Sears and Roebuck for 16 yrs, retiring in 2004. She was a member of Union Street Missionary Baptist Church, Monroe and loved crafting, camping, spending time with grandkids and her Paducah girls.

Survivors include: her children, Thomas Saam Jr., Valerie Seger, Joseph (Stacy) Seger II and son-in-law, Adam Siebarth; brothers, Jan (Andrea) Parker, Patrick (Deb) Parker, brother-in-law, Jim Breitner, Mike (Lorrie) Parker; grandchildren, Tiffany (Rashaun), Katelyn, Nick (Christy), Adam Jr., Jessica, Justin, Joseph III, Jacob and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Gayle Breitner and daughter Laura Siebarth.
