Conor Michael Harrigan
Passed away on June 26, 2026
Conor Michael Harrigan, 16, of Petersburg, Michigan, passed away tragically on June 26, 2026, leaving behind a community forever changed by his kindness and extraordinary spirit. Though his time on earth was far too short, Conor lived with an energy and joy that touched countless lives. He was goofy, funny, lovable, athletic, and a friend to everyone he met. He had a remarkable sense of humor, and his sweet smile left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Â
One of the things his family heard most often from others was how polite Conor was. Teachers, coaches, parents, and community members consistently shared stories about his respectfulness, his kind heart, and the genuine way he treated everyone.Â
Â
Conor was a proud junior at Summerfield High School. He played basketball and baseball with determination and heart. He was also a member of the golf team. Conor never measured himself by his size. He measured himself by his effort, his willingness to work hard and desire to be coachable. He reminded us that strength isn’t about being the biggest person on the field or the court. Strength is about showing up, working hard, and giving your whole heart to the people that matter to you. Conor led by example. He showed younger athletes what it meant to be humble and support teammates. He was the kind of young man every parent hoped their child would become and every coach was grateful to have on their team.
Â
What made Conor special went far beyond his athletic ability. He was the ultimate teammate. His teammates often begged coaches to keep him on the varsity roster because he was their "hype man," and their source of laughter and energy. Whether he was playing, in the dugout, or on the bench, Conor was cheering the loudest, lifting spirits, celebrating every success, and reminding everyone that sports were about brotherhood as much as competition.
Â
Conor loved golfing, had recently discovered a newfound passion for pickleball, never passed up a trip to Raising Cane's, spent countless hours gaming with "the bros," and loved singing and dancing. He spent his final days doing what he loved most: playing basketball, spending time with his family and his girlfriend, Hailey Hunter, and golfing with friends.
Â
He is survived by his parents, Denny and Conni Harrigan and his brothers, Dillan and Liam. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Denny and Helen Harrigan, Ellen Lockhart, and Linda Crace; his aunts, Linda "Lala" Lockhart and Lizzie Harrigan; his uncle, Cory Dwornik; and his cousins, Maddy and Gavin Dwornik. Conor is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins - not bound by blood, but friends that became his chosen family. He will be profoundly missed by his best friends, teammates, coaches, teachers, and the entire Bulldog community. Conor was preceded in death by his aunt, Sheila Dwornik.
Â
Conor's legacy lives on in every cheer from the bench, every stolen base, every act of kindness, and every laugh shared among friends. The Bulldog community, his teammates, his friends, and his family will forever hold him close in their hearts. While we mourn the loss of the future we dreamed for him, we give thanks for the remarkable young man he was and the sixteen beautiful years we were blessed to share with him.
Â
