Bonnie Jean Moore (Holtz), 81 yrs of Holgate, OH, formerly of Ida, MI, died Wednesday

April 29, 2026, in Vancrest Nursing Home, Holgate, OH. Friends may call at the Capaul

Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Friday May 8, 2026, from 12-1:30PM. Burial will take place at

Lulu Cemetery, Ida, MI.

Born August 14, 1944, in Monroe, MI. Bonnie was the daughter of Orie and Ruth

(Allison) Holtz. She was a 1962 Whiteford High School Graduate. She married William

Moore on September 5, 1989, in Sylvania, OH. Bonnie worked for Our Savior Lutheran

Church in Toledo as a secretary for 20 yrs, retiring in 1999. Bonnie was a former

member of St. Steven Lutheran Church, Sylvania, OH and loved antique shopping in

Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, visiting small restaurants, decorating and was a very

talented seamstress winning awards in her early life.

Survivors include: her husband, William; daughter, Julie (Scott) Zygula; stepchildren,

Jeff (Jennifer) Messmore, Krista Moore; sister, Karen (Steve) Johnson; grandchildren,

Thomas (Melisha) Sheehan, Nick Sheehan, Drake (Chelsea) Zygula, Atticus

Messmore, Baylee (Alex) Blackford, great-grandchildren, Ma’Leah and Elyza Sheehan,

Aiden, Brantley, Kylee and Alayna Blackford; nephew, Greg (Linda) Briggs and great

niece April (Abe) Marvin. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-son-in-law,

Ron LaFountain, sisters, Elizabeth Holtz, Madaline (LeRoy) Briggs, nephew, Brian

Briggs and niece Jennifer Bishop.
