Allison Jacob Miller

Allison Jacob Miller, 102 yrs died Tuesday July 14, 2026, at ProMedica Monroe Regency Hospital. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Monday July 20, 2026, from 3-8PM. He will lie in state on Tuesday July 21, 2026, from 10AM until the services at 11AM at prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, MI. Pastor Aaron Werner will officiate burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundee, MI.

Born May 21, 1924, in Monroe, MI. Allison was the son of Carl and Elizabeth (Mathis) Miller. He was a 1941 Dundee High School Graduate. Allison married Wilma Stotz on October 9, 1943, at St. Marks Lutheran Church, Ida, MI. Wilma has since passed. Allison signed a major league baseball contract with the Atlanta Braves in 1948. Allison came home and became a carpenter working for The Ford Motor Company and later Gratton Construction for 20 yrs, retiring in 1986. Allison was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Monroe Senior Center for 34 yrs, carpenter union and loved baseball and playing cards.

Survivors include: his son Gary, daughter-in-law, Pat Miller and grandchildren, Nathan and Eric. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Larry, grandson, Troy and siblings, Willard and Maragaret Riggs.
