Thomas Frank Horak

Thomas Frank Horak – 68 years of Deerfield, MI – passed away Tuesday March 14, 2023, at his home under the care of Hospice.  Friends and family will gather at Light of Christ Parish / St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (Deerfield, MI), on April 29, 2023, from 9am until the Memorial Mass at 11am.  Father Jeffrey Poll will officiate.  Cremation has taken place.

Born on May 22, 1954 – in Tecumseh, MI – Tom was the son of Joseph Sr. and Elizabeth (Motycka) Horak.  He was a 1972 Summerfield High School Graduate.  After graduating, Tom decided to dedicate his life to maintaining the family farm.  He married Cathy Feldman on April 5, 1986, at North Blissfield Immanuel Lutheran Church.  A family man and lover of animals - Tom enjoyed raising cattle, participating at the Oberly Auction, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Cathy, his daughters Jessica (David), Jennie (Matt), Katie (Justen), and his grandchildren Samuel and James, Rachel, Jack, Rebecca, and Joseph, and Jackson, and mother-in-law Loretta.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joe Horak Jr., his sister Millie Balun, and his father-in-law Mason McWilliams.

Memorial contributions can be directed to Hospice of Lenawee and / or Summerfield Fire Department.
