Richard Scott Odneal

Richard Scott Odneal, 56 yrs, of Morenci, Mi, died Friday October 27, 2023, in his home. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Thursday November 2, 2023, from 3-8PM. There will be a visitation on Friday November 3, 2023, from 10 AM until the services at 11AM at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI. Pastor Ted Kerr of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Tecumseh, MI, will officiate. The burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI.

Born September 21, 1967, in Toledo, OH. Richard was the son of Charles and Patricia (Goodin) Odneal. He was a 1985 Summerfield High School Graduate and later earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at The University of Toledo. He married Carla Borton on May 11, 2002, in Toledo, OH. Richard previously worked for Monarch Analytical, Silbond Corporation, First Solar and Materion as a chemist. Richard enjoyed many hobbies including: photography, hunting, golfing, playing billiards, and riding his motorcycles. He also enjoyed the outdoors, attending concerts and discovering new restaurants.

Survivors include: His wife, Carla; son, Levi Miller and a sister, Kerry (Todd) Roach; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, David and Phyllis Borton and a brother, Mark Odneal.
