Carolyn Ann Gove

Carolyn Ann Gove – 77 years of Petersburg, MI – died on Saturday December 23, 2023, at Hickory Ridge (Temperance, MI).  Cremation has occurred.  Family and friends can visit Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 10am until the memorial service commences at 12pm.  Pastor Janice Locke will officiate.

Born on September 8, 1946 – in Toledo, OH – Carolyn was the daughter of Raymond Sr. and Shirley (Byington) Hempel.  She was a 1964 Erie Mason High School graduate.  In 1969, Carolyn married William “Bill” Gove.  She worked as a clerk for Circle K (Toledo, OH) for 17 years, retiring in 2022.  Carolyn was a member of the Summerfield Band Boosters and the Sylvania Moose Lodge.  When she wasn’t working, Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, playing sudoku, watching sports (football, tennis, and softball), and spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her grandson.

Survivors include her husband, her son Brian (Mindy) Gove, her brother Raymond (Louise) Hempel Jr., grandson Alexander, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Hempel.
