Theodore Wayne Rumler

January 9th, 1950 - January 28th, 2022

Theodore Wayne Rumler of Lapeer, Michigan, formerly of Petersburg, Michigan, was born in Monroe on January 9, 1950, and entered the glorious kingdom of his personal Lord and Savior on January 28, 2022, at the age of 72.


Ted is the beloved son to Dean and Annabel (Wohlgamuth) Rumler. He grew up in Petersburg and graduated from Summerfield High School in 1968. He attended Monroe County Community College.


Ted enlisted in the Navy in 1968-1973 and proudly served his country. His education he obtained in the military, trained him as an electrician and he retired from DC Electric Motors in Flint. Ted held a strong work ethic, often returning to work to help a fellow electrician long after his retirement. Ted was an avid outdoorsman. He was skilled in hunting, fishing, trapping and a sharp mushroom hunter. He loved working in his garden and sharing his vast knowledge. His greatest love was his family, children, grandchildren, and was a generous friend to many. He was known for his kind and soft-spoken manner, He held strong spiritual and political convictions, but possessed a listening ear.


Ted is survived by his wife, Sherry (Wallace) Rumler, daughters, Sheyla (Steve) Barteck, Adreah (John) Kuderik, and Kimberly Rumler, and sons Nathan Rumler and Jason Booms. Siblings; Tim (Cricket) Rumler, Debby (Mark) Chesney; Grandchildren, Kaela, Katie, Bryce, Hunter (Leah), Reese, and Christian; great- grandchildren Tucker, Sawyer, and Audrey. Ted Is preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter, Jessicah Kuderik. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed.


A Memorial service will take place on Saturday February 5th at 1:00 pm, at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Michigan with Pastor Frank Draganic, officiating. The family will receive guests starting at 10 a.m. with services to follow. Burial will be in Petersburg Pleasant View Cemetery.
