David Douglas Gregg
December 18th, 1939 - November 27th, 2022
David Douglas Gregg – 82 years of Dundee, MI – died on Sunday, November 27th, 2022, at his residence under the care of Hospice. Cremation has occurred. A memorial Service has been set for Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, which will take place at Grape Missionary Baptist Church (Monroe, MI). Reverend Mikey Smith will preside.
Born on December 18th, 1939, David was the son of Charles and Edna (Ogal) Gragg. He graduated from Dundee High School in 1959. After graduating, David married Betty Ayers on December 24th, 1960, in Carleton, MI. He worked as an inspector and fire brigade EMT for Ford Motor Company for 32 years and retired in 1995. When David wasn’t working, he enjoyed tinkering in his garage, fishing, woodworking, singing with the Smith family, and spending quality time with his beloved friends and family. He was a wise man and would often use clever proverbs such as “it’s a good life until you weaken” and “once a man twice a child.”
Survivors include his wife Betty, his daughters Pamela (Rick) Bigelow, Theresa (Mike) Heiden, and Edith (Mike) Smith, his brother John Gragg, his sisters Janice Combs, Edith Gragg, and Mary Lou (Sydney) Bowler, his grandchildren Michelle, David, Asia (Will), Jerry, Mikey (Nicole), Sarah (Allen), and Michael (Nicole), and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers George and Jim, his sister Lara, his grandson Steven, and his great-granddaughter Hope.
