Carol Marie Majors (Feinauer)

Carol Marie Majors (Feinauer), 86 yrs, of Monroe, MI, died Thursday August 11, 2022 in hospice care. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Wednesday August 17, 2022, from 4-8PM. She will lie in state on Thursday August 18, 2022 from 10 AM until the services at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Maybee, MI. Jim Puhl LLM and Gail Cebelak LLM will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Maybee, MI.
Born January 30, 1936 in Monroe, MI. Carol was the daughter of Howard and Irene (Schmidt) Feinauer. She was a 1954 Dundee High School Graduate, who later earned her Associates Degree from Monroe County Community College. Carol married John Majors on May 12, 1956. Carol taught quilting and crocheting at Monroe Community College in the 70s.. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Maybee, MI. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, was an active member of the Women of the Church and helped at funeral dinners. She was a leader of the Campfire Girls, 4-H, Dundee Civic Organization, member of the Monroe Quilt Guild and the Michigan Porcelain Artists, judged homemaker of the year in 1974, taught adult community programs for over 25 yrs and loved quilting, and decorated cakes for many years.
Survivors include: her children, Dennis Majors, Clarissa (Michael) Costello; sisters, Nancy LaVoy, Diane (Michael) Stark and grandchildren, Katherine, Allison and Erin Costello. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Joyce Meadows.
