William “Bill” Norbert Masson

William “Bill” Norbert Masson, 61 yrs, of Temperance, MI, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in The University of Michigan Hospital. A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, April 16, 2021, from 11 AM until the Memorial Mass at 12 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Monroe, MI. Fr. Giancarlo Ghezzi and Deacon Mike Stewart will co-celebrate the Mass. Burial of the cremains will occur at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI.

Born November 30, 1959, in Monroe, MI. Bill was the son of Norbert and Ruby (Reaume) Masson. He was a 1978 Ida High School Graduate and attended Monroe County Community College. He married Susan Beckwith on September 22, 1989, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Erie, MI. His past employers include G & M Equipment, North Star Steel, Freightliner of Toledo, Great Lakes Western Star, and Martin Transportation, Toledo, OH, where he was a diesel mechanic. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Monroe, MI. Bill had a passion for farming and was well known to repair farm machinery and trucks on his own time. He loved having friends drop by to share jokes and good stories.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; children, Joe and Christine Masson, mother, Ruby Montri; sister, Dorothy Ciacelli; God Children, Nicholas Ciacelli, Lisa Heintzman, Kathryn Spencer; Step- siblings, Harold "Chip" Montri, Gail Keane, Kathy (Pete) Opfermann, Bonnie (Scott) Boylan; brother-in-law, Jim (Denise) Beckwith and numerous nieces and nephews/ great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Norbert, and step-father, Orville Montri.
