Sheldon Dale Smith

February 9th, 1987 - January 11th, 2021

Our Fierce, young warrior, Sheldon Dale Smith unexpectedly succumbed to his battles on January 11th, 2021. He was 33. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, all services are private.

Sheldon was born in Monroe on February 9th, 1987. He lived in Ida, where he attended Ida Public Schools and later earned his GED from Milan Public Schools. He enjoyed participating in football and wrestling in his younger years.

Sheldon Loved "The Farm Life" and enjoyed many jobs as a farmhand in the Ida Area, where he found any day on a tractor to be a good day. Sheldon had a great sense of humor and making people laugh came easily to him. He was the youngest of four brothers and had many friends on his journey through life.

Sheldon loved to spend time in DeTour Village, in the U.P. God's beautiful handiwork brought him comfort there. He had hoped to live there one day and will now rest there eternally.

Sheldon is survived by his partner, Heather Winkleman, and their children, Ashton Leo and Adalyne Harper; his parents, Dale Smith and Ronda (Mike) Fuller; his brothers, Don (Stephanie), Mitchell (Shannon); step-sister, Kaitlin Fuller; grandparents, Bev (Tom) Meyer and Alberta Leiner; his nieces and nephews; Madelin, Erica, Alec, Lilliana, Gavin, Layla and Ryder and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death on December 19, 2020, by his brother, Tyler, for whom he was still grieving, his grandparents, Leo and Laverne Smith and Donald Rolison, all of DeTour Village, and Denny and Joy Fuller of Harrison.
