January 3rd, 1937 - February 19th, 2021
Richard F. Jackson, 84 of Dundee died February 19, 2021 at home on his farm after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Richard was born January 3, 1937, to Russell and Eula (Wallace) Jackson of Dundee. They preceded him in death. His brother, William, also precedes him in death.
Richard was a graduate of Dundee High School, Class of 1955. He met Jeane Hoffman at the Monroe County Fair and on March 20, 1965, they were married. Jeane died in 2018. After spending 52 years together, he has been lost without her.
Together Richard and Jeane farmed and raised four children- Jill Jackson (Dave) Moulton of Rives Junction, Todd Jackson of Dundee, Julie McLean of Lambertville and Chad (Tamithy) Jackson of Dundee. His sister, Marion Jackson of Onsted also survives.
Richard is also survived by his grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel and Michael Moulton, Evelynn Huber and Russell and Stanley Jackson. Richard always loved having kids around and he truly enjoyed his grandchildren.
In addition to being a lifelong farmer, Richard was a long time employee of Dundee Community Schools and retired from the district. Richard and Jeane often visited Shipshewana, Indiana when their health was good. After retiring, Richard spent many hours during the summer in his garden keeping the whole family supplied with produce.
Per his wishes, Richard has been cremated and there will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to Parkinson’s Foundation 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131
While it has been very, very hard to lose them both, we know that Mom and Dad are now back together.
