Tracy “Cowboy” James Mack

November 23, 1971 - April 12, 2025

Tracy “Cowboy” James Mack – 53 years of Monroe, MI – died on Saturday April 12, 2025, at his residence.  Family and friends may gather at Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Wednesday April 16, 2025, from 2pm until the memorial service commences at 7pm.  Pastor Curtis Garland of East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church (Monroe, MI) will officiate.  Cremation has occurred.

Born on November 23, 1971 – in Monroe, MI – Tracy was the son of James and Elaine (Schlump) Mack.  He was a 1989 Ida High School graduate.  Tracy also attended Monroe County Community College (Monroe, MI).  Since they originally opened, he worked for Gino’s Pizzeria (Ida, MI), as a delivery driver and manager, up until Tracy passed away.  In addition, he was self-employed, worked in construction, and held a myriad of odd jobs.  When he wasn’t working, Tracy enjoyed fishing, woodworking, karaoke, crafting jewelry, collecting shells, tinkering, and spending quality time with his family and friends.  Speaking of family and friends, since Tracy regularly wore an impressive Western outfit, i.e., a cowboy hat, fringe jacket, cowboy boots, and a bolo tie, he was referred to as “Cowboy.”

Survivors include his mother Elaine Mack, his daughter Angel (Charley Thomson) Mack, his sons James and Tyler Mack and Aydin Lustig, and his sister Tina Clark.  Tracy was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, his daughter Alyssa Mack, and brother Timothy Mack.

Memorial contributions can be made out to the Mack Family.
