William "Tony" Antonio Weatherholt

April 14, 1947 - April 8, 2024

William "Tony" Antonio Weatherholt - 76 yrs. of Ida, MI - died surrounded by family at his son’s home in Ida, MI, under the care of Elara Hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Friday April 12, 2024, from 2-8PM, with Rosary at 7PM.  He will lie-in-state on Saturday April 13, 2024, from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI. Deacon Mike Hammond will officiate. The burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Dundee, MI.

 

Born April 14, 1947 - in Garden City, MI - Tony was the son of Emerson and Alba (Belli) Weatherholt. He was a 1966 Airport High School Graduate. He served with the US Navy in the Vietnam War from 1965- 1969. He married Mary Lou Beasley on April 26, 1985, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Monroe, MI. Mary died November 28, 2021. Tony was a Plumber/pipefitter for The Ford Motor Company for 36 years, retiring in 2006. Tony was a life member of the Monroe VFW Post 1138, a member of the VVA Chapter 142, Monroe, Father Bauer’s Knights of Columbus, Ida/Dundee, a volunteer fireman for Ida for years and scout master for both Monroe and Ida scouts. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, golfing, fishing, gardening (his special tomatoes) and spending time with his grandkids.

 

Survivors include: his children, Joel (Alexis) Weatherholt, Julie (Kevin) Kerfoot, Jeff Bohmer; siblings, Emerson (Diane) Weatherholt, Robert (Brenda) Weatherholt, Joanne Handley and grandchildren, Cameron, Madison, Dylan, Rilee, Owen, Addison, Madeline, Jackson and Isabelle and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Susie Weatherholt, and brother-in-law, Larry Handley.
