Trenence “Terry” May Bigelow (Slowinski- Fackelman), 81 of Temperance, died Saturday December 9, 2023, in ProMedica Toledo Hospital (Toledo, OH). Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) Thursday December 14, 2023, from 2-8PM with rosary at 7PM. She will lie-in-state on Friday December 15, 2023, from 10AM until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11AM at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish / St. Joseph Catholic Church (Ida, MI). Deacon Mike Hammond will officiate. The burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park (Toledo, OH).

 

Born January 6, 1942, in Toledo, OH. Terry was the daughter of Leonard and Virginia (Posadny) Slowinski. She attended Central Catholic High School (Toledo, OH). She married James Owen Fackelman in 1959, and later married David Bigelow on November 20, 1976, in Toledo, OH. David died July 26, 2016. She worked as a cook for the Toledo Blade for 4 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish / St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was an usher, eucharistic minister, helped at funeral luncheons and was a member of the Christian Mother’s.  She loved playing BINGO, going to casinos, and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Survivors include; sons, James (Victoria) Fackelman, Mark (Susan) Fackelman; daughters, Elizabeth (Jerry Perry) Fackelman, Crystal (Mike) Dagastino, Theresa (Larry) Simmet; son-in-law, James Estes; sister, Deborah (Michael) Nadolny; grandchildren, Cory, Nick, James, Michael, David, Kyle, Brandon, Katie, Madison, Johnnie, Allen and great-grandchildren, Ellie, Josh, Jimmy, Grace, Ivy, Jane, James III, Juliana, Max, Ryder and one on the way.
