Mildred “Millie” Grace Legas (Diehl) 91 yrs, of Monroe, MI, died Thursday December 8, 2022, in Vibrant Life, Temperance, MI. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Monday December 19, 2022, from 2-8PM. She will lie-in-state on Tuesday December 20, 2022, from 10 AM until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11AM at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI. Fr. Gerard Cupple will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ida, MI.


Born September 6, 1931, in Monroe, MI, Mildred was the daughter of Harry and Ada (Kehrer) Diehl. She was a 1948 St. Mary’s Academy Graduate. She married Anthony Legas and was formerly married to, Floyd Savage and Anthony Palicki. Millie worked for Hydromatic for 18 and ½ yrs, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and the UAW Local 14. She loved playing cards, mall walking, crocheting, cooking, and going to church with son and daughter.


Survivors include: her children, William (Susan) Savage, Janet (Larry) Hamblin, Linda Boudrie; daughter-in-law Barbara Savage; grandchildren, Jon and Joseph Boudrie, Billisue (Joey) Sandefur, Joe (April) Savage, Jennifer (Tim) Poupard, Randy (Yashaka) Lentz, Melissa Boudrie, Kellie (Steve) Hloben, Shellie Savage, Jody Boudrie, Jessica Balsizer, April (Kelley) Shankleton, Edward Hamblin; 15 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, children, Daniel, Timothy, Robert Savage, Lisa Balsizer, sister, Margaret Bonk, son-in-law, Carl and granddaughter, Callie.
