Ronal "Tony" Paul Longnecker, 86 yrs, of Petersburg, MI, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, OH. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all services and burial at Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI, are private.


Born July 2, 1934, in Petersburg, MI in his childhood home on Morocco Road. Tony was the son of Ralph and Elizabeth (Sommers) Longnecker. He was a 1953 Summerfield High School Graduate. He married Sandra Rogge on July 24, 1965, in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI. He was a self-employed bricklayer for Longnecker Masonry for 45 years plus retiring in 2011. Tony was a lifelong member of the NRA, Wild Turkey Federation, Ottawa Lake Sportsman Club, and past member of Bass Pro Shop. He loved to hunt, fish, pick mushrooms, turtle trapping, bowling, playing cards especially Euchre, and loved spending time with family.


Survivors include his wife Sandra; children, Paul (Vickie), Theresa "Trish" (John) Kinney, Tamara "Tammy" Longnecker; sisters, Evelyn Fredenberg, Mary Cassidy, Jeanette Prettyman; grandchildren, Thomas, Zachary, Anthony, Jaelynn, Chrystal; 2 great-grandchildren and his granddog, Jozee. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, William, Charles, Raymond, James, and Eloise Lada.


Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Shriners.
