Charles "Chuck" Allen Kolakowski

Charles "Chuck" Allen Kolakowski, 65 yrs, of Flat Rock, MI, formerly of Ida, MI, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in Beaumont Hospital, Trenton, MI. He will lie in state at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ida, MI, Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from 10 AM until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11 AM. Fr. Gerard Cupple will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ida, MI.

Born July 6, 1955, in Monroe, MI, Charles was the son of Marion and Leona (Franzen) Kolakowski. He attended Ida High School. He married Lynda Acker on January 21, 1990, in Toledo, OH. He worked for Flat Rock Metal for 25 yrs. He was a packrat who loved cats especially Spookee, electronics, cards, Mexican Dice, heavy metal rock, and was dedicated to his mother.

Survivors include His wife Lynda; step-son, Nathan Woodward; his mother, Leona; siblings, Larry Kolakowski, Kathie (Wayne) Bossie, Carol Raasch, Elaine (Tim) Fuchs, Peggy (Phil) Trouten, Deborah Fry; several nieces and nephews; great-nephew/nieces and a special close great-niece, Serenity Wells. He was preceded in death by his father Marion, in-laws, Charles & Marilyn Acker, siblings, Dan Kolakowski and Frances Kling, 2 nieces, a nephew, and a great-nephew.
