Sandra Carolyn Rhoden, 78 yrs of Monroe, MI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in Monroe, MI.

Born March 26, 1946, in Monroe, MI. Sandra was the daughter of Arthur and Cleo (Hill)
Woelmer. Sandra married her beloved husband, Thomas Rhoden, on January 23, 1981, in Flint, MI. Thomas preceded her in death on July 28, 2019.

She was a 1964 Graduate of Ida High School and later attended Monroe County Community College and was a member of East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Throughout her life Sandra had several careers, but most significantly she, with her husband Thomas, owned and operated Sandy’s Hallmark in Monroe, MI. Sandra also worked for Runyon’s Furniture for 18 yrs, where her love of design and decorating flourished. Finally, Sandra retired in 2019 after owning and operating Cartridge World in Toledo, OH with her husband Thomas.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Sandra was known for her kind, caring, and selfless nature. Sandra’s greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family and friends. She was at her happiest when she was sharing laughter and making lasting memories with those she loved. Her warmth and compassion inspired everyone who knew her.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Cleo Woelmer, and her husband,
Thomas Rhoden.

She is survived by her loving children, Kelly Kraus, Martin (Jessica) Kraus, Joshua (Elizabeth) Rhoden; siblings, Frederick (Erin) Woelmer, Mary Katherine Telfer, Jeanne (Daniel) Smith, Richard (Carolynn) Woelmer; and grandchildren, Grace and Camille. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on in their hearts forever.

Family and friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Thursday January 9, 2025, from 2-8PM. She will lie in state on Friday January 10, 2025, from 10AM until the services at 11AM at East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Monroe, MI. Pastor Curtis Garland will officiate. The burial will be in East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Ida, MI.
