Marilyn Mae Croitori

Marilyn Mae Croitori, age 93, a life-long resident of Dundee, passed away at the SSIHM Healthcare Center in Monroe on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Marilyn was born on May 13, 1931, in Ida, MI, the daughter of Clarence and Marcella Edelbrock. Marilyn married her beloved husband, George Croitori, on November 13, 1948, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ida, MI. George preceded her in death on August 7, 2015. She attended Dundee High School and was a member of St. Irene’s Parish, Dundee Senior Citizens, and Dundee Friends of the Library.

Marilyn is survived by four daughters:Â Mary Chinavare, Linda (Bob) Rehklau, Cindy (Dale) Cody, and Joan (Dave) Wittkop; grandchildren Todd (Phyllis) Rehklau, Kristine (Matt) Stewart, Holly Chinavare, Dana (Steve) Drummond, Rachel (Jimmy) Treadway, Jason (Rose) Cody, Valerie Wittkop, Paul (Alicia) Wittkop, and Jon Wittkop; 14 great-grandchildren; and 7 siblings: Eldon (Diane) Edelbrock, Barb (Joe) Oser, Bev Schultz, Monie Odneal, Angie (Russ) Beaufait, Don (Glenda) Edelbrock, and Bob (Raine) Edelbrock.

Marilyn was also preceded in death by grandson Mark Chinavare, sister Janice Welch, and brother Jerry Edelbrock.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Marilyn was known for her kind, caring, and selfless nature with her large family and friends. Marilyn enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, baking, cake decorating, word puzzle books, playing Euchre, and spending time with her family. She was happiest when making lasting memories with family and friends.

Family and friends may visit Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Monday January 13, 2025, from 2pm until 8pm, with Rosary being recited at 7pm. Marilyn will lie-in-state at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Ida, MI) on Tuesday January 14, 2025, from 10am until the Mass of the Resurrection commences at 11am. Marilyn’s burial will take place immediately following the Mass of the Resurrection at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (Ida, MI). Father Derik Peterman will officiate.
