Dennis Ray "Denny Ray" Stevens, 57 yrs, of Raisinville Twp, MI, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Sunday from 1-9 PM. He will lie in state Monday, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor Ted Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Rath Cemetery, Raisinville Twp.

Born July 2, 1953, in Bloomington, IL, Denny was the son of Ray and Evelyn (Kerber) Stevens. A 1971 Dundee High School Graduate, he was employed by Fischer Body, in Tecumseh for 10 yrs, and GM Powertrain in Toledo, for 20 yrs, retiring in 2006. He then worked for Salenbien Excavating and the New Car Company.

Denny and Cheryl Heiden were married April 5, 1984, in Toledo. He loved riding his Harley, Dundee Wrestling, Michigan Football, playing Euchre, dancing with Cheryl, spending time with his family and friends, and fishing. He was a fun guy, happy, loved going up North, taking his dog "Bo" for walks and cracking jokes.

Surviving are: his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Jennifer Holbrook, Raelyn (Tim) Sampson, Jill Holbrook; brothers, Duane (Liz) Stevens; step-brother, Ken (Betty) Cox; sisters, Glenda (Don) Edelbrock, Joanie (Gary) Brunt, Trudy (Tom) Goodin, Joni (Frank) Elkins; step-sisters, Diane Cox, Fran Woley, Billie Cox; and grandchildren, Allison, Dakota, and Skylar. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, John Cox, infant brother, Gary Stevens, and niece, Melissa Stevens.
