Shelby A. Salkey, 18 years, of Dundee, died Thursday, February 2. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Monday, February 6, 2012, from 2 PM until services at 7 PM. Pastor Dale Hayford, of Crosswalk Community Church, will officiate. Private burial will be on Tuesday.

Born September 8, 1993, in Toledo, Shelby was the daughter of April Salkey. A member of Crosswalk Community Church, she was also a member of the Church Teen Group. Shelby loved music, especially singing. She was a social butterfly and loved being with her cousins.

Surviving are: her mother, April; grandmother, Pamela Layton, grandfather Ronald Salkey; and brother, Harley Salkey. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents.
