
Jane Marie Geyman, 89 yrs, of Ida, died Sunday, February 28th at Tendercare of Monroe. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Tuesday from 6-9 PM; and Wednesday, from 11 AM to 9 PM, with a Rosary Service at 4 PM, and a Scripture Service at 7:30 PM. She will lie in state Thursday at St. Joseph's Church, Ida, from 10 AM until the Mass of Resurrection at 11 AM. Rev. Dr. Michael Woroniewicz, Fr. Donald Geyman, Fr. Robert Bauer, and Fr. John LaCasse will co-celebrate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ida.
Born July 27, 1920, in LaSalle Twp, Jane was the daughter of Herbert Frederick and Marcella (Doyle) Heck. A 1938 graduate of St. Mary's Academy. She married Edwin H. Geyman, in St. John's Church, Monroe, on November 24, 1938. He died June 8, 1981. A member of St. Joseph's Church, she was Past President, Vice President and Secretary of the Christian Mothers, a member of the Fr. Solanus Guild, and the former birthday club, and served on the Funeral Luncheon Commitee for many years. She also was a member of the Ida Schools PTA, a Leader of the Blue Birds/Campfire Girls for four years, past Treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was Monroe County's Mother of the Year in 1957.
Survivors include: sons, William (Judy) Geyman, of Ida, Fr. Donald R. Geyman, of Elmira, MI; daughters, Mary Jane (Louis) Fischer, of Milton, WV, Shirley (Orville) Wenrick, of Monroe, Susan (Keith) Kurth, of Petersburg; daughters-in-law, Barbara Geyman, of Ida, Fay Geyman Bray, of Dundee; a brother-in-law, Bernard Diroff, of Ida; a sister, Bernice (Ted) Rath, of Monroe; sisters-in-law, Eileen Heck, of Erie, Carole Heck Lyons, of Perry, MI; eighteen grand children, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Robert and David, a daughter, Judith Ann; three brothers, Kenneth, Harold and Glen Heck, and a sister, Blanche Diroff.
