Alice Lorraine Bird, 81 yrs, of Dundee, died Saturday, January 30th at Flower Hospital, Sylvania. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Monday, from 2-9 PM, with a Scripture Service at 7 PM. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Tuesday, at 10 AM. Fr. Jack Loughran, of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Deerfield, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.

Alice was born April 10, 1928, in Gilford, MI, to Edgar and Katherine (Stahl) Guisbert. She married Ronald F. Bird on July 19, 1947, in St. Alphonsus. He died March 18, 2001. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Alphonsus, worked as a Teachers Aid at Summerfield Elementary School, a member of the Friends of the Library, Petersburg, the Pertersburg VFW Post 6509 Women's Auxiliary, the Dundee Senior Citizens, was active at Rawson Place Residence Association, and did volunteering. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and baking.

Surviving are: four daughters, Phyllis (Glenn) Thomas, of Manning, SC, Darlene (Robert) Belair, of Monroe, Lori (Stephen) Doughty, of Petersburg, Karen (Scott) Dheel, of Deerfield; a brother, Edwin Guisbert, of Kalkaska, MI, a sister, Cloris (Paul) Stotz; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, R.D. Guisbert.
