Ruth Helene Stahl, 82 yrs, of Monroe, died Monday, January 18th at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Friday, from 2-8 PM. She will lie in state at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, Saturday from 1 PM until services at 2 PM. Pastor Ted Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Rath Cemetery, Monroe.

Born March 20, 1927, in Ida Twp, Ruth was the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Burmeister) Meier. She married Donald E. Stahl in 1954 in West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church. He died July 30, 2009. A member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, she loved being with her grandchildren, chocolate, canning and gardening, sewing aprons and pot holders. A "feisty lady", she went to the Monroe Farmers Market with family products, and was known as the Pot Holder Lady.

Survivors include: a son, John, of Monroe, Aide de camp Kelly Meister, of Wallbridge, OH, and grandchildren Andrew, Alexander, and April. She was preceded in death by her husband, two infant daughters, Rose Marie and Carol, and two other infants.
