Marla Marie Schultz, 69 yrs, of Petersburg, died Saturday, December 11th at her residence while under the care of Erie West Hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Thursday from 2-8 PM. She will lie in state at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Summerfield, Friday from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor Albert Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.

Born October 13, 1941, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Harold and V. Alice (Pruden) Scheuerman. She attended Stautzenberger Business College. Marla and Thomas Schultz were married August 16, 1961, in Holly, MI. She was employed as a secretary for St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Temperance, Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Monroe, and Zion Lutheran Church of Summerfield, retiring in 2004. A member of Zion Lutheran Church of Summerfield, she was also a member of the church's Friend to Friend Group.

Surviving are: her husband, Thomas; sons, Philip and Michael; daughter, Laura (Steve) Pipis; brothers, David (Joanne) Scheuerman, Philip (Kitty) Scheuerman; sisters, Mary Ann Scheuerman and Debra Chalfa; grandchildren, Emily (Casey) Sampson, Katherine Schultz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
