Larry Leroy Popejoy, 70 yrs, of Newport, died Friday, May 14th, at Oakwood Hospital, Trenton. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Wednesday from 11 AM until 2 PM. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery, Deerfield, MI.

Born January 24, 1940, in Deerfield, he was the son of Wallace and Evelyn (Moon) Popejoy. Larry worked on the stamping line at Ford Motor Co, Woodhaven, retiring in 1995. A member of the UAW, Local 387, Woodhaven, he loved fishing, sailing, and working on boats and cars.

Survivors include: a son, Sterling Popejoy; daughters, Bobbie (Tony) Martin, Frankie Popejoy, Vivian Brightman; brothers, William and Robert Popejoy; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions for Mr. Popejoy may be made to the American Lung Association.
