Douglas Alan Ladd, 46 yrs, of Petersburg, died Thursday, March 18th. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Tuesday, from 11 AM until the Memorial Service at 2 PM. Pastor Mark Flory, of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Petersburg, will officiate. Cremation has taken place.

Born December 25, 1963, in Toledo, Douglas was the son of Sam and Carol (Pendery) Ladd. He was a self-employed carpenter and had previously worked for Diversified Material Handling. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, a history buff, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, and loved hunting, fishing, building custom cars, and playing games.

Surviving are: his parents Sam and Carol Ladd; Special friend, April Salkey; a daughter, Amy; brothers, Bruce (Kris) Ladd, Dave (Lisa) Ladd; Nieces and Nephews, Kristy, Justin, Lauren, Robbie, Jake, Zach, Dakota, Levi; great nephew, Wyatt; and his beloved dog, Steeler. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorial contributions for Douglas may be made to the Monroe County Humane Society.
