John Charles Kreger, 64 yrs, of Deerfield, died Sunday, April 4th as a result of an auto accident. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Sunday, April 11, from 1-9 PM. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10 AM, at the funeral home. Pastor Brenda Wilkison, of the First Presbyterian Church, Erie, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.

 

Born January 10, 1946, in Toledo, John was the son of Bernard and Rosemary (Lucas) Kreger. He was a Summerfield High School Graduate and had attended Washtenaw Community College. He married Amy Devine October 27, 2001, in the First Presbyterian Church, Erie. Mr. Kreger was a Millwright for the Ford Motor Co, Rawsonville, for nineteen years, until he took a Medical Retirement. He then owned the Suds and Stuff Party Store in Dexter and Classic Auto Works, in Deerfield. He was a member of the UAW, Local 898.

 

Surviving are: his wife Amy; his mother, Rosemary Kreger, of Petersburg; a son David Kreger and friend Elizabeth Hunt, of Britton; a daughter, Michelle (Terry) Coopshaw, of Britton; brothers, Lawrence (Phyllis) Kreger, of Dundee, Thomas Kreger, of Petersburg, Paul (Ruth) Kreger, of Lambertville, Michael (Debbie) Kreger, of Socoro, NM, Joseph (Corrie) Kreger, of Lambertville; three sisters, Theresa Stratton, of Toledo, Mary (Dana) Smith, of Berkey, OH, Rita Kreger, of Petersburg; a grandson Craig Coopshaw; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Jimmy.
